While the cottage does not offer direct access to the River, it is positioned just off the River among the best fly fishing waters on the Lower West Branch. It lies 4 miles from Hale Eddy, 1.5 miles from the Upper Gamelands access point, .5 miles from the Lower Gamelands access point, and only a mile from the launch and takeout access point at Balls Eddy.
